Inspection was conducted on 3 days for 10 types and 14 equipments.During inspection, a case was found where PAD plates were reversed. The inspector decided on rework and re-inspection. The manufacturer explained that the issue did not affect performance and proposed to issue an NCR and handle it per internal quality procedures.

Since the core purpose of inspection is to verify conformity between documentation (drawings, strength calculations, etc.) and the actual product, the inspector’s pointing out was appropriate, and the manufacturer’s proposal was also considered reasonable. The proposal was therefore accepted.

Such situations occasionally occur during inspection, which is precisely why inspection is necessary.

When incorrect fabrication occurs—due to work convenience, production flow, delivery pressure, or simple error—the handling procedure becomes crucial. If the fabrication does not comply with pressure-vessel construction codes, no alternative exists other than corrective rework. However, if the issue falls within the manufacturer’s internal quality documentation and can be agreed upon with the inspector, corrective action may proceed after issuing a report according to internal procedures.

Hydrostatic testing took longer than expected.Inspections for 5 types / 6 equipments (welding) and 5 types / 14 equipments (structural) have been completed.

3일간에 걸쳐 총 10종 14기의 검사가 진행되었다

검사 중 PAD plate가 뒤바뀐 사례가 발견되었으며, 검사원은 재작업 및 재검사를 결정했다.

이에 대해 제조사는 성능에는 문제가 없음을 설명하며, NCR 발행 후 내부 품질 절차에 따라 처리하겠다는 의견을 제시했다.

검사의 본질은 문서(도면, 강도계산서 등)와 실제 제품의 동일성을 확인하는 것이다.따라서 검사원의 지적은 타당하며, 제조사의 제안 또한 합리적으로 판단되어 이를 수용하였다.

검사를 진행하다 보면 이러한 사례는 종종 발생하며, 이것이 바로 검사가 필요한 이유이다.

작업 편의성, 생산공정, 납기 문제, 또는 단순한 실수로 잘못된 작업이 진행될 수 있으며, 이때 중요한 것은 처리 절차이다.압력용기 제작기준에 부합하지 않는 경우에는 선택의 여지가 없지만, 내부 품질문서에 근거가 있고 검사원과의 협의가 가능한 사안이라면, 자체 품질 절차에 따른 보고서 발행 후 보완조치로 처리할 수 있다.

수압시험에서는 예상보다 많은 시간이 소요되었다.용접검사 5종 6기, 구조검사 5종 14기를 종료하였다.
