KEA Certification with ASME Code Compliance

KEA inspections can be performed within the framework of the manufacturer's ASME Code Quality Control Manual (QCM).

1.Applicable Code

KS B 6750 is the Korean pressure vessel code. Its technical requirements are very similar to those of the ASME Code, which is why we generally recommend designing and manufacturing equipment in accordance with ASME standards.

Our role is to demonstrate and document compliance with KS B 6750 by correlating the ASME design, calculations, materials, and inspection records with the applicable Korean requirements.

2.Certificate

KEA issues its own certification. Therefore, an ASME U Stamp and the involvement of an Authorized Inspection Agency (AIA) are not required for KEA certification.

Notes:

① UM certification is not applicable to KEA certification.

② Dual units (SI and customary units) are acceptable.

3.QCM (Quality Control Manual)

Regarding the Quality Control Manual (QCM), an ASME-based QCM may be used and accepted for KEA certification. KEA inspections can be performed within the framework of your existing QCM.

4.Documentation

Manufacturers are requested to maintain the same quality and manufacturing controls used for U Stamp production, including material traceability, material identification marking, document control, and quality records.

Documentation should be prepared and maintained in accordance with the forms, procedures, and document formats defined in the QCM.

KEA 검사는 제조사의 ASME Code 기반 품질관리매뉴얼(QCM) 체계 내에서 수행할 수 있습니다.

1.적용 규격 (Applicable Code)

KS B 6750은 한국의 압력용기 규격입니다. 기술적 요구사항은 ASME Code와 매우 유사하므로, 일반적으로 장비의 설계 및 제작은 ASME 기준에 따라 수행할 것을 권장합니다.

당사의 역할은 ASME 설계, 강도계산서, 재질 및 검사기록을 한국 규정의 요구사항과 연계하여 KS B 6750 적합성을 입증하고 문서화하는 것입니다.

2.인증서 (Certificate)

KEA는 자체 인증서를 발행합니다. 따라서 KEA 인증을 위해 ASME U Stamp 또는 Authorized Inspection Agency(AIA)의 참여는 필요하지 않습니다.

① UM 인증은 KEA 인증에 적용되지 않습니다.

② SI 단위와 관용 단위(US Customary Units)의 병행 사용이 가능합니다.

3.관리매뉴얼(QCM)

품질관리매뉴얼(QCM)의 경우, ASME 기반 QCM을 KEA 인증에 사용할 수 있으며 인정됩니다.

KEA 검사는 제조사가 현재 운영 중인 QCM 체계 내에서 수행할 수 있습니다.

4.문서화 (Documentation)

제조사는 재질 추적성(Material Traceability), 재질 식별 마킹(Material Identification Marking), 문서 관리(Document Control), 품질 기록(Quality Records) 등을 포함하여 U Stamp 제작 시 적용하는 것과 동일한 품질 및 제조 관리 체계를 유지해야 합니다.

모든 문서는 QCM에서 규정한 양식, 절차 및 문서 형식에 따라 작성 및 유지되어야 합니다.
